< Friday Review > The Highest Grade Vape Pens
For those who know me it comes as little surprise that I love weed. I have always preferred pot over alcohol. Over past few years it has been incredible to see the progression that cannabis has made into mainstream America. More and more states are legalizing weed not only for medicinal use, but for recreational consumption as well. Unfortunately, however, regulations regarding pesticide and microbial testing tend to fall short. Although cannabis is legal for medical use in California, state law does not require medicine to be tested for harmful pesticides or bacteria. This means that cannabis producers are free to blast their plants with unregulated plant growth chemicals. This also means that cannabis consumers need to research companies that are transparent when it comes to manufactured cannabis.
Enter The Highest Grade. This company is truly setting the standard when it comes to quality and transparency in the legal age of cannabis. Not only are their products organic and solvent-free, they make you feel amazing. Every product is dual-lab tested by SC Labs and Steep Hill. Each vape cartridge displays the potency on every package and include a unique QR code where you can scan and find a complete break down of test results for residual solvents, pesticides, and bacteria. Basically if Whole Foods sold weed, The Highest Grade concentrates would be on the top shelf.
The Highest Grade vape pens come packaged in small and sleek black cases. The case is small enough to fit comfortably in a jean pocket and light enough to carry in a purse. They are discreet and classy. Inside there are 3 different slots. One is for the USB charger, the second is for a cartridge, and the third is for the electronic pen. The pen set-up without a cartridge retails for $20.
When I began consuming cannabis nearly a decade ago I never imagined that I would one day use it for pain. Fast forward to the fall of 2014 when I was hit by a car while riding my longboard in
I quit the pills cold turkey after a couple of months. Thus began my super slow road to recovery. I'm trying to get better, but I am horrible at keeping up with my physical therapy exercises because they drive me crazy. My physical therapy exercises are pretty much basic yoga postures. I used to be able to hold these poses with no problem, but since my injury these poses have become difficult and sometimes painful. It's frustrating and sometimes causes me anxiety. On the outside I look completely healthy, but on some days I am in a state of chronic pain. I have found that cannabis, particularly dosages high in cannabidiol (CBD), helps offset the pain from the accident.
I recently started using The Highest Grade vape cartridges and have seen a massive improvement to my injury. My favorite strain I’ve tried is The Last Laugh #2 which contains 56% CBD and 3.3% THC. CBD is a key compound in cannabis that has many healing properties including pain relief, anxiety relief, bone growth promotion, muscle spasm suppression, as well as inflammation reduction. (Source: http://www.leafscience.com/2014/02/23/5-must-know-facts-cannabidiol-cbd/) I’ve been using this product for about a month though and there have been major strides in my recovery. The two main improvements I noticed are that I no longer wake up with extreme lower back pain and I feel less anxiety about my injury. The Highest Grade has a variety of strains available for purchase at Kind Peoples in Santa Cruz, Healing Harvest Farms in Laytonville, Redwood Herbal Alliance in Sonoma, as well as Cornerstone Collective in Los Angeles. The cartridges retail for $60. Check out @TheHighestGrade on Instagram for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to be the #1 vape manufacturer in the industry.
